Hi! My name is Myrthe, wedding, family and portrait photographer based in Utrecht and Amsterdam.
I've loved taking pictures since I was little and I didn't mind rolling through the mud to get that one perfect shot of that little flower. (Actually, I am still doing this) Nature is my favorite surrounding and therefore, my ideal wedding or photo session takes place in a natural environment. I always find the green pieces or flowers to combine them with you in the photo for the colorful result.
The photos that I create show the beauty of everyone, the connection and cheerfulness, but also the tears, excitement and pure love. Telling a story with photography, that's what I like the most. This is why I like to offer different types of photography. Think about wedding photography, or a photoshoot with your child(ren) or the whole family! But I also like to do a photosession just with you.
Photography is not only work, it's my passion. I'm so thankful I get to exercise my creative needs for a living. My work allows me to meet new, inspiring and interesting people every day, as well to travel around the world.
Out of experience I can say my sessions are relaxed, fun and comfortable. I like to find a way to customize sessions for clients to make them more personal, memorable and meaningful.
Behind the scenes
THE GIRL BEHIND THE CAMERA
I have 2 bunnies, Alejandro & Lola. My bunnies are of course the best, but every pet steals my heart.
I love plants and flowers, I prefer to fill my room with them, but they just keep dying! How do people keep all their plants alive?
I love scary movies / series, but I also love a good dramatic love story a lot. (PS: I love you)
I love to travel a lot and don't mind to travel alone! Favorite countries: Mexico and Iceland!
I am a real sugar addict. More specifically: chocolate. Ever experienced a sugar hangover? No fun at all, that's what I can tell you!
I have a very sweet boyfriend, Karl. He is there for me during all the ups and downs, unfortunately he does not like to be photographed. I'm still trying to teach him ;)
